Sensing into the Field
A foundation stone for what we're building.
For most of my life, my default way of being in a group meant that my attention was almost always riveted on two inputs — the words of whoever happened to be speaking, and my mental commentary in response.
I’d not yet learned to “sense into the Field.”
To attune to the quality of the energy in the group itself.
To tap into the shared awareness that pulses and ripples with its own intelligence, emotion and agenda.
This “Field” — as it’s often referred to in the collective healing work led by Thomas Hübl and team, and in many other contexts — arises whenever two or more people gather.
But it’s not a reality I’d learned to work with before undertaking the two-year Timeless Wisdom Training led by Thomas and team, and subsequent facilitator training.
Though we’ve been cultivating this form awareness since the start of the Resonant Man, we took a more focused dive into this topic at last Sunday’s session — part of this month’s theme of Resonant Dialogue.
We began by recognising that we all possess an innate capacity to attune to the Field. Think of a politician who can “read the room,” or a joke that “goes down like a lead balloon.” Such metaphors speak to our capacity to sense into a group, and recognise how our own energy can effect the whole.
In the Resonant Man, there’s an open invitation to explore subtler levels of this ability. We experience how we can access certain forms of information, insight and inspiration in the context of a coherent group space far more easily than we might do so on our own.
We recognise how the Field can draw ideas and words out of us that surprise us with their originality and lucidity. We learn to “listen from” the Field — as we engage with what’s being said from a deeper ground.
In this way, we notice that being part of an intentional group field does not have a flattening effect — encouraging us all to think, act and speak the same. Quite the contrary: In my experience, it’s while participating in an awakened group that I feel most fully and exuberantly myself — and appreciate the unique medicine codes that each individual carries most clearly.

Over the next two sessions, we’ll continue to explore Resonant Dialogue, delving into the nature of fields, flow, and emergence.
